- In 1982, Late Shri Prembhai, who was secretary of Banwasi Seva Ashram from 1966 to 1994, received Jamna Lal Bajaj Award for his seminal contribution to village development through the use of technology.
- In 1997, Dr. Ragini Prem, who founded the health programme of Ashram and who was secretary of BSA from 1994 to 2014, was honoured with Smt. Jankidevi Bajaj award for her seminal contributions to rural entrepreneurship
